Niners lose 86:90 against Belfius Mons-Hainaut
After a good start to the Champions League season with a home win against Bakken Bears, Niners Chemnitz have suffered their second defeat in the competition. On Tuesday evening, the Saxons lost 86:90 (46:44) to Belfius Mons-Hainaut from Belgium.
Chemnitz started the game well and took an early lead. However, Mons-Hainaut fought back and took a narrow lead into the break. After the break, the Belgians extended their lead and ultimately secured the victory.
For Chemnitz, Mindaugas Susinskas was the top scorer with 22 points. For Mons-Hainaut, it was Tre'Shawn Thurman who scored 23 points.
Chemnitz will now have to win their remaining two Champions League games to have a chance of qualifying for the next round.
