Buxtehuder SV parts ways with head coach Dirk Leun
Struggling Bundesliga side Buxtehuder SV have parted company with head coach Dirk Leun after a disappointing start to the season.
The club announced the decision on Monday, with Leun leaving the club with immediate effect. Buxtehude are currently 11th in the Bundesliga table, having won just three of their opening 11 games.
Leun had been in charge of Buxtehude for two years, but he has been unable to turn around the club's fortunes. Buxtehude finished ninth in the Bundesliga last season, and they have failed to improve on that position this season.
Leun's departure is the latest in a series of changes at Buxtehude.
The club has also recently appointed a new sporting director, and they are expected to make further changes to their squad in the January transfer window.
Buxtehude's next game is at home to Thüringer HC on Wednesday. The club will be hoping to bounce back from their disappointing start to the season and climb the Bundesliga table.
