Musiala's bizarre goal celebration for Bayern Munich goes horribly wrong
The German international was mocked online after his attempt at a backflip went awry
The 19-year-old scored Bayern's third goal in their 4-0 win over Freiburg on Saturday, but his celebrations quickly turned into a nightmare.
After slotting the ball into the net, Musiala attempted a backflip to celebrate, but he misjudged his landing and crashed to the ground in a heap. The incident was caught on camera and quickly went viral on social media, with many users mocking the youngster for his failed attempt.
One user wrote: "Musiala's backflip fail is the funniest thing I've seen all day." Another added: "I can't believe he actually tried that. It's so cringey." However, some users defended Musiala, saying that he was just trying to have some fun and that he shouldn't be criticized for making a mistake.
One user wrote: "I think it's great that Musiala is trying to have some fun. He's a young player and he's allowed to make mistakes. I'm sure he'll learn from this and he'll be more careful next time." Another added: "I don't think it's fair to criticize Musiala for this. He's a great player and he was just trying to have some fun. I'm sure he'll be back to his best soon."
Musiala himself has not commented on the incident, but he will be hoping to put it behind him and focus on his football. The German international has been in excellent form for Bayern this season, scoring 8 goals and providing 6 assists in 29 appearances.
He will be hoping to continue his good form when Bayern face RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
