German Shepherd Mix Critically Injures Two Children in Germany

On Sunday, August 6, 2023, a German Shepherd mix critically injured two young children in the town of Attendorn, Germany. The dog attacked the children, ages five and seven, in an unprovoked attack.

The children were playing in a backyard when the dog suddenly attacked them. The five-year-old boy suffered severe facial injuries, while the seven-year-old girl sustained puncture wounds to her leg and arm. Both children were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The boy is reported to be in critical condition, while the girl is in stable condition.

The dog's owner, a 35-year-old man, was arrested by police. He is being charged with negligent bodily harm. The dog has been seized by animal control and will be euthanized.
