Brighton took the lead in the 27th minute through Kaoru Mitoma, who finished a clinical counter-attack with a cool finish past Caoimhin Kelleher.

Liverpool Respond With Two Goals

Liverpool responded well to going behind and drew level just before half-time through Harvey Elliott, who curled a superb effort into the top corner from the edge of the area.

The Reds took the lead for the first time in the match in the 58th minute through Roberto Firmino, who headed home from close range after a cross from Andy Robertson.

Brighton pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages, but Liverpool held on to secure their place in the semifinals, where they will face either Manchester United or Burnley.
