The public broadcasters will offer a daily news program in Ukrainian
In order to inform Ukrainian refugees and other interested viewers about current events in their home country, MDR Fernsehen, Das Erste, and ARD have joined forces to provide a daily news program in Ukrainian.
The 15-minute program will be broadcast on MDR Fernsehen at 9:45 p.m. CET, on Das Erste at 11:30 p.m. CET, and on ARD's website.
The program will be presented by Ukrainian journalists who have fled to Germany and will include reports from Ukraine and information on relevant topics such as asylum procedures and integration opportunities.
The public broadcasters are also working on expanding their Ukrainian-language online content. For example, MDR Fernsehen has already set up a Ukrainian-language website with news, information, and service offerings.
