Northeim - A woman was injured in a traffic accident in Northeim on Tuesday morning. As the police announced, a 59-year-old car driver overlooked a 75-year-old pedestrian when turning onto Göttinger Straße from Einbecker Straße at around 10:20 a.m. The woman was hit by the car and thrown to the ground. She was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car was not injured.

The police have started investigations into the cause of the accident. The Göttinger Straße was closed for about an hour for the rescue work.
