Rostock interim coach Pesch: "You can see what's going on here"
Rostock interim coach Chris Pesch was angry about the referee's performance after the 2-1 defeat at VfL Osnabrück and made serious allegations.
"It's really outrageous how the game was handled today. The referee didn't have the game under control. I don't want to make any allegations, but he just didn't make the right decisions today," said Pesch after the match on "MagentaSport".
Pesch was particularly critical of the fact that Osnabrück's goalscorer Lukas Kunze had not been sent off after a foul on Rostock's Fred Mendy in the first half. "It was a clear red card. I don't understand why the referee didn't give it. That was a crucial scene in the game," said Pesch.
The coach also criticized the fact that his team was not awarded a penalty in the second half after a foul on John Verhoek. "That was also a clear penalty. I don't know why the referee didn't give it," said Pesch.
Due to the defeat, Rostock slipped to 14th place in the 3rd division. Pesch is now under pressure to bring the team back on track.
