Rheinmetall and Croatian firm to manufacture mine-resistant vehicles

German defence giant Rheinmetall has signed a contract with a Croatian company to produce mine-resistant vehicles.

The contract, signed with the Croatian company Đuro Đaković Specijalna Vozila (ÐĐSV), is worth around €100 million and will see the two companies jointly develop and manufacture a new mine-resistant vehicle.

The new vehicle, which is based on Rheinmetall's Survivor R vehicle, will be used by the Croatian military. It will be designed to protect occupants from mines, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and other threats.

Rheinmetall has a long history of developing and manufacturing mine-resistant vehicles. The company's Survivor R vehicle has been used by militaries around the world, including the US, UK, and Germany.
