Missing 15-year-old from Leinburg found alive
Public search campaign withdrawn
A 15-year-old girl from Leinburg, who had been missing since Friday, has been found alive and well. The police have withdrawn the public search campaign.
The girl was found on Sunday evening in Nuremberg. The police do not yet want to provide any information about where she was or how she was found.
The girl had disappeared on Friday afternoon
The girl had last been seen on Friday afternoon in Leinburg. She was on her way to school, but she never arrived. Her mother reported her missing in the evening.
The police immediately launched a major search campaign. They searched the area around Leinburg with sniffer dogs and helicopters. They also interviewed witnesses and checked surveillance cameras.
On Sunday evening, the police received a tip that the girl had been seen in Nuremberg. The police went to the scene and found the girl.
The girl is now back home with her family. She is said to be doing well.
The police have not yet said whether they are investigating the case further.
